Louis N\u00e9el, born on November 22, 1904, in Lyon and passed away on

November 17, 2000, in Brive-la-Gaillarde, was a renowned French physicist.

N\u00e9el is famous for his pioneering work on magnetism, particularly

antiferromagnetism and ferrimagnetism. He discovered the \"N\u00e9el temperature\",

the temperature above which antiferromagnetic materials lose their ordered

magnetic structure.His research had a significant impact on modern technogies

such as magnetic recording and computer memory. In recognition of his

fundamental contributions, Louis N\u00e9el was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics

in 1970. His work continues to influence materials physics and engineering
